Rachel Weinstein is a three-time Tony Award®-winning Broadway producer with decades of experience in professional performing arts management. She began her career in the not-for-profit sector, holding leadership positions at multiple theatre companies in some of the most vibrant theatre cities around the globe: Roundabout Theatre Company (New York), Donmar Warehouse (London), Writers’ Theatre (Chicago) and The Old Vic (London/New York).
As the first Director of Development of the Donmar Warehouse, Rachel conceived, launched, and grew the theatre’s first comprehensive and formal fundraising program. In addition, she oversaw the creation of education initiatives and outreach programs for audiences with disabilities.
After moving to Chicago, Rachel served as both Director of Institutional Advancement and Interim Executive Director for Writers’ Theatre. In 2010, Rachel returned to New York, where she became Director of the American Associates of the Old Vic.
In 2012, Rachel segued to the commercial side of the business producing for Broadway. Her producing credits include: The Outsiders, Water for Elephants, The Hills of California, The Lehman Trilogy, Jagged Little Pill, The Ferryman, An American in Paris, Farinelli and the King, Disgraced, The Heiress, Hughie, and Cruel Intentions: The 90s Musical Experience (Off-Broadway). Rachel was also an Associate Producer of the Tony Award®-winning musical, Dear Evan Hansen.
In addition to producing, Rachel consults Broadway productions on education initiatives as well as targeted group sales outreach. In recent seasons, she has overseen student ticket programs for Purlie Victorious, Bad Cinderella, Topdog/Underdog, and Macbeth.
Prior to that, Rachel served as the School Group Outreach Coordinator for To Kill a Mockingbird on Broadway. In that capacity, she secured group sales from hundreds of schools throughout the Tri-State area, welcoming thousands of students to the show. In 2019, she worked with the producers and the NYC Department of Education to develop and administer a $10 Ticket Initiative, which offered over 10,000 reduced-price tickets to NYC public school students. In 2020, she worked with the show to deliver a special one-afternoon-only free student performance of To Kill a Mockingbird at Madison Square Garden for over 18,000 students.
Rachel is a graduate of the Commercial Theatre Institute's 14-week Intensive (NYC), a former member of TCG’s National Council for the American Theatre, and a former Director for the Theatre Resources Unlimited (TRU) Producer Development and Mentorship Program.
A graduate of Hamilton College, Rachel lives in Manhattan with her family.
